Shipping & Delivery Policy
Thank you for supporting my art! Every single order is carefully wrapped and packed straight from my studio in Ashburton, New Zealand, with a little help from my feathered assistants. Because this is a small, independent studio, please review our shipping guidelines below.
Processing and Commission Timeline
Standard Orders (Prints & Bookmarks): Please allow an estimated 2 to 4 business days for ready-to-ship orders to be carefully packaged and prepared for transit.
Custom Art & Commissions: Please allow an estimated 2 to 4 weeks for the creation of your custom piece. The exact timeline is a flexible estimate that depends entirely on the scale, complexity, and specific medium chosen (e.g., traditional oil paintings require mandatory, extended drying and varnishing periods before they can be safely packaged).
The Approval Process (for commissioned art): Once your piece is finished, you will receive a final confirmation photo via email. You have 72 hours to review and approve the artwork. If no response is received within this window, the artwork will be deemed approved as-is. Once approved or deemed approved, it will be securely packaged and dispatched within 2 business days.
Shipping Within New Zealand
We ship nationwide using NZ Post Tracked Services so you can follow your package's journey. Once an order leaves the studio, standard delivery estimates are 1 to 4 business days (please allow an additional 2 to 3 business days for rural RD addresses). Smaller items like postcards and bookmarks travel via tracked document streams, which can occasionally require an extra day or two compared to standard courier parcels.
Please note that all delivery windows are estimates provided by the postal service. ByJoyTorres Studio is not liable for unexpected courier delays, transit backlogs, or holiday disruptions once a package has been dispatched.
International Shipping
We love sending art across the world! To ensure your artwork travels safely, all international orders are shipped securely via NZ Post International Tracked Services.
Estimated Delivery Times: Standard tracked international delivery is an estimate of 10 to 25 business days, while Courier upgrades estimate 4 to 6 business days. Please note that these are postal service estimates only. ByJoyTorres Studio is not liable for transit delays, holiday backlogs, or extended holding periods at local customs hubs.
Customs, Duties & Taxes: Buyers are solely responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or VAT fees applied by their destination country upon arrival. If a package is returned to the studio because a buyer refuses to pay local customs fees or collect their item, the cost of original shipping will not be refunded.
Damaged or Lost Packages
In the rare event that an order is lost or arrives damaged in transit, please contact me at hello@byjoytorres.com within 48 hours of delivery. You must include clear photos of both the damaged items and the outer packaging. Once received, I will immediately file a claim with NZ Post and arrange a solution for you. Please note that we cannot process claims or replacements without photographic proof of the packaging and items within this 48-hour window.
