Inspired by a visit to a local cat café, where rescued cats mingle with guests while waiting for their forever homes. Watching their playful personalities brought back memories of the cats I grew up with and still miss today. For now, my birds have vetoed any plans of adopting one, so I enjoy keeping cats close through my artwork instead.

Before I moved to New Zealand and became a bird mum, my world revolved around dogs and cats. Each painting is an original hand-painted watercolor artwork created on premium watercolor paper using professional artist-grade materials. Because watercolor remains sensitive to moisture, please keep your artwork away from liquids, excessive humidity, and damp environments.

To help preserve its colors and delicate details, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and display or store your artwork in a dry, stable environment.

For long-term preservation, we recommend framing your painting behind glass and keeping it away from direct heat sources. Like all original works of art, it should be handled with clean, dry hands and cared for thoughtfully.

The studio is not responsible for damage caused by water exposure, improper handling, framing, display conditions, or environmental factors after delivery.
Because each piece is an original, hand-painted artwork and often one of a kind, all sales are final. We do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations for change of mind.

Please review all product descriptions, dimensions, and photographs carefully before placing your order. If your artwork arrives damaged in transit, please refer to our Damage in Transit Policy and contact us within 48 hours of delivery
If your order arrives damaged during shipping, please contact us at hello@byjoytorres.com within 48 hours of delivery and include clear photographs of both the damaged packaging and the item(s).

Once the damage has been reviewed and verified, we will arrange an appropriate resolution, which may include a replacement (where possible), store credit, or a refund at our discretion.

Claims submitted without photographs or outside the 48-hour reporting period may not be eligible for resolution.
